Future Plans

While Roberto is providing you with a constant stream of awesome videos tied into this year’s RPGaDay, I am musing about what kind of content I could create in the foreseeable future. I have thought doing some videos myself, but since I am not really confident in my English language skills (at least when it comes to the spoken word), I will probably stick to blog posts for a while.

Recently I acquired a couple of new roleplaying games including but not limited to the following:

While I will probably not have the opportunity to play all these soon, I might still write reviews or at least short first look posts about them. There was quite the controversy around White Wolf recently, so a closer look at Vampire 5th Edition may be of interest to some of you. I also would like to find the answer to the question which game the better successor to Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 1st & 2nd Edition is: Warhammer FRP 4th Edition or the fan-produced ZWEIHÄNDER.

Aside from these books, I still have a review copy of the Tales from the Loop adventure book Our Friends the Machines on top of my “to review” stack. A friend of mine asked me several times if I was willing to run a game of Tales from the Loop for him, and I do, but we haven’t found a good opportunity yet. So the review is still high on my list, I just don’t know when I’ll finally get to it.

Last but not least, there are a couple of unfinished game designs on my hard drive, that are in dire need of work. A SF game inspired by Chris McDowall’s work (and actually based on one of his designs) had actually progressed quite far when I stopped working on it. At this moment the unbearable heat in my office keeps me from doing any creative work, but as soon as the temperatures drop again, this might be a worthwhile endeavour. I might actually turn this into a Patreon thing during development with the Patreon patrons getting an inside look into the design process. If you folks think it’s a good idea, please let me know.

Is there something else you were hoping for? What kind of content do you miss? Please share your thoughts in the comments below!
