What’s new with the Stargazer?

Stargazer’s World, while it is focused mostly on tabletop roleplaying games, has also always been my personal blog which I have used to share brief glimpses into my personal life, mostly when it comes to my struggles with mental health. Since I haven’t been posting in a while, I wanted you, my dear readers, give another update on what’s up.

First and foremost I am doing fine. There are no major health issues I have to deal with nor is there any personal drama. I am pretty busy at work (which I consider a good thing) and when I come home I am usually looking forward to spend some time on the couch watching YouTube or playing video games on my brand-new PC. When it comes to roleplaying games I have purchased a few games recently which I plan to read as soon as I get the time, and I am still playing in two pretty regular games: an online Pathfinder 1E game and an in-person Mutant: Year Zero campaign.

Since I don’t run any games myself at this point and since I am pretty busy at work, blogging hasn’t been a priority for quite some time. As this post shows, I haven’t totally abandoned this hobby, but at this point it isn’t as important any more as it was a couple of years ago.

But there’s something roleplaying-related which I am pretty excited about. I recently stumbled upon the English translation of the Japanese TTRPG Sword World 2.5. I find it increasingly fascinating to look into this game and I am actually tempted to put it onto my long list of games to try out. The three main core rulebooks are totally massive and feel extremely overwhelming at first, but at a second glance SW2.5 seems to be a pretty easy-to-learn game. The system definitely has its quirks but I am really excited to look more deeply into it, so one or several posts about Sword World 2.5 might happen in the near future. Please let me know if this is something you’d be interested in.

One last thing: I changed the look of the site since I was getting bored by the old theme I used. I hope everything works fine, but if you encounter any issues, please let me know.
