#RPGaDay2017 Day 10: The reviews are in!

Ten days already! Let’s continue with #RPGaDay 2017. Today’s question is:

August 10: Where do you go for RPG reviews?

Well Stargazer’s World of course! What better place… The best place for RPG reviews nine years running. Ok with the shameless plug out of the way, let’s continue.

I did a lot of RPG reviews here in the blog. While my contributions have become more infrequent on the other 11 months of the year, I really enjoy sharing my opinions on games. The opportunity to do that has been one of the great satisfactions of participating in this endeavor.

When I am looking for reviews of a game I’m interested in I typically do a Google search or look in Twitter and Facebook. If it is a digital product in DriveThruRPG then the product reviews on that site help immensely. I’m a firm believer in the opinion of my peers and fellow fans. Who better to recommend a book?

One reviewer I really enjoy is Kurth Wiegel from Game Geeks. I always find his videos insightful, and I really enjoy his dry sense of humor. I even like his reviews of games I have NO interest in playing. If you haven’t seen them, go check them out.

I still love doing reviews, and if you are a regular reader you can see that Michael continues doing reviews regularly, so if anybody out there wants us to take a look at their books or products, let us know! Also, if you are a publisher of games in Spanish, we are interested in reviewing your game at Desde la Fosa. Send us a message!

Today at Desde la Fosa, Aníbal and I talk about this very topic on our video series in Spanish about #RPGaDay2017. He recommends RPG Net Reviews. You can watch the video below:

I also recorded a video on my personal YouTube Channel, and titled it Sunglar’s Musings, where I talk about what I am doing for #RPGaDay2017. I talk about the blog and the vlog, and here is the video in case you are curious:

There is a Spanish version here.

Where do you go for RPG reviews? Let us know in the comments. See you all tomorrow.

Welcome, reader; thanks for taking the time to discover who I am! My name is Roberto, although I usually go by Sunglar online. I am a longtime tabletop RPG player, primarily a GM for the better part of that time; some will say that’s because of my love of telling a good story, others because I’m a control freak, but that’s debatable. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, an island in the Caribbean with a small but active gaming community. I’ve played RPGs for almost 40 years, and for most of that time, I played D&D in all its permutations, including Pathfinder and D&D 5th edition. Other games our regular gaming group plays include Mutants & Masterminds, Castles & Crusades, Savage Worlds, Stars Without Number, Alien, and more. I have played many games through the years and plan to play many more. I am a compulsive homebrewer and rarely play a campaign I have not created myself. You can follow me on social media as Sunglar, and I’m regularly active on Facebook where you can find me posting regularly in the Puerto Rico Role Players group. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
