Here is today’s NPC.
Doryen Craix (Fantasy Name Generator used for the name: Futuristic name generator)
Emissary Craix was born in an isolated pacifist colony whose residents underwent genetic manipulation for generations. While a few developed significant psychic powers, the majority became empaths, able to sense the feelings of others without the ability to alter them or influence their feelings and minds in any way. When the colony rejoined the greater galactic community, these empaths became emissaries of their culture’s message of peace through diversity, collaboration, and respect.
As an empath and emissary, Doryen travels across the known galaxy to share his message. He treats all sentients with the utmost regard, seeking to forge bonds of cooperation with everyone he encounters, regardless of their status or influence.
During his journeys, Doryen freely gives whatever he has to those in need—and what he has in abundance is love. However, his constant exposure to the emotions of others has led to a complication: he has become addicted to the feeling of joy and ecstasy in those around him. He often accompanies people as they explore these positive emotions just so he can vicariously experience the high. This has earned him a reputation as a connoisseur of the joyous and pleasurable, and he is frequently sought out for advice in matters of happiness and romance.
Doryen is aware of his addiction and actively tries to rein in his hedonistic impulses. He works hard to ensure his guidance brings no harm to his “associates”, the term he uses for those he guides along the path of happiness. Even so, his fellow emissaries remain deeply concerned about his well-being, though Doryen has consistently ignored all pleas to return home and take a leave of absence from his responsibilities.
